Introducing Sunday Salons
For six Sundays only this winter, we are hosting an initmate afternoon series of afternoon-tea salons with local authors. Join us for our launch event with Caroline Beecham on 29 July to learn more about the inspiration and research that goes into her bestselling novels Maggie's Kitchen and Eleanor's Secret.
Our Salons are free and light refreshments are provided. Copies of the authors' books are for sale and signing at the event. Bookings essential as space is limited.
Caroline grew up at the English seaside town of Brighton and came to Australia for a year—in 1999—to continue her career as a writer and producer. She has worked on documentaries, drama and entertainment series, as well as a feature film. Then she discovered that she loves to write and to share lesser-known histories; and in particular those of pioneering women whose lives she reimagines through fiction. Caroline has a MA in Film & Television and a MA in Creative Writing and has studied the craft of novel writing at the Faber Academy in Sydney and with Curtis Brown Creative in London.
Caroline is currently working on a new novel and she is also adapting for television drama. She lives with her family in Sydney and when she’s not researching or sorting odd socks, she likes to watch her sons play soccer and spending time on the northern beaches.
We are always working on our calendar of author visits and the launch of some new book clubs. Drop in, call or email for more details
